Doterra Wintergreen Essential oil Physical and Emotional Uses

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

Why Wintergreen?

I was so excited to get this oil in my collection it has always been one of my favorite sells. Little did I know the very week it arrived I would have a VERY physical need for it. Thinking I was younger than I am (happens often 🤣) I over did a day of yard work and found it hard to even bend over to pick things up. So I filled the tub with all the Epsom salts and a TBS of FCO with 4 drops of Wintergreen. The sooth that came after that bath was a relief and I repeated for several nights after that.

What DŌTERRA says:

After a long day, take some time to relax, and pamper yourself with a Wintergreen bath. Add 1–2 drops of Wintergreen oil to warm bath water and enjoy the soothing sensations of Wintergreen essential oil. The Wintergreen oil will help to soothe the body, and its aroma will have a positive and uplifting effect on the mind.

Physical Uses:

  1. Wintergreen has a warming effect when applied to skin and is excellent to use as a soothing massage. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly and dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

  2. For a soothing bath, add 1–2 drops of Wintergreen essential oil to warm bath water.

Emotional Uses:

The Oil of Surrender

To Release: Needing to be right, Burdened, Controlling, self reliance

To Gain and become Surrender, teachable, strengthened

How to Use

Aromatically: Inhale from bottle or cupped hands. Diffuse

Topically: Dilute 1 to 2 drops with a carrier oil and apply to area of need. Apply over heart to receive the emotional benefits.

NOT FOR INTERNAL USE
